Description
These plush refill rollers in a twin pack give your mini roller a quick restock. At 10 cm wide, they are ideal for doors, frames, radiators, furniture and other smooth surfaces that take too long with a brush and are too awkward for a large roller.
The short, dense yellow polyester plush with a 9 mm pile picks up paint evenly and releases it in a fine, uniform layer. The result is a smooth surface with only a slight texture – free from streaks and brush marks.
The roller core is 17 mm in diameter and fits standard mini roller frames. Both rollers are flow-wrapped: use one now and keep the second clean and ready – for a second colour or the next coat.
Use & care
Preparation
Remove loose fibres before first use: dab the roller with adhesive tape, or dip it briefly in water and spin it out well. Slide the roller fully onto the frame. The surface should be clean, dry and free of grease; lightly sand old coats of paint.
Painting
Load the roller evenly in a small paint tray and roll off the excess on the grid. Spread the paint in a criss-cross pattern first, then lay it off in one direction with light pressure. Work in strips, wet on wet, to avoid lap marks. Cut in edges and mouldings beforehand with a brush.
Cleaning and care
After use, roll off excess paint on newspaper and clean the roller immediately: with lukewarm water and a little soap for water-based paints, or with the appropriate thinner for solvent-based paints. Squeeze it out and let it dry standing upright so the plush is not flattened on one side. During short breaks, wrap the roller airtight in cling film.
